About CCAL

Our vision

To promote a greater understanding of visual arts by providing art-based education programs, art workshops, art demonstrations and other art related activities to the general public. We strive to work with other organizations within our community to bring art awareness and art promoting activities to the community.

Our approach

With our partners and sponsors, we bring together community artists in monthly meetings, host workshops for the public, create community art projects, participate in a variety of other community events to promote art and our local artists.

This corporation is organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our story

In 2020 two local artists, Laurie Leftwich and Jamie Zerr-Lockwood got together and decided to start a small group catering to artists in the area. At the time both ladies were fairly new to the area but both noticed the need for a focus on fine art and took the opportunity to start an “Art Club”. Our first year was run with $0 and a lot of local support. Our little art club quickly grew as our local Library and home Town noticed our efforts and helped us reach our current goals.

In 2022 Corridor Creative Arts League, also known as CCAL, became official and registered as a 501 (c)3  non profit organization. With lots of hard work and support from our members, CCAL has exploded into a group of over 50 artists and continues to grow rapidly.

Our dreams continuously keep us moving forward and we feel that the possibilities are endless.”
